The brilliant bunch of characters that surrounded Benny included Rochester, Don Wilson, Phil Harris, Dennis Day, and Mary Livingstone. The show is remembered for its “I Can’t Stand Jack Benny Because…” contest, the classic “Your Money or Your Life” skit, and as a forum for Benny’s long running “feud” with Fred Allen.
